The affinity diagram is a tool commonly used within project management and allows large numbers of ideas stemming from brainstorming to be sorted into groups. It is a very useful tool to bring all our ideas together and organize it in a professional way. The sticky notes can include various information such as: data from user testing, user insights, design issues etc. As a UX/UI designer, one might use affinity diagrams when they are working on a project that seems overwhelming. It can help get a group consensus on large issues and help create, design and consolidate information effectively. It showed me what I need to add to my product to make it the most useful for the user and make it an all-encompassing app to provide a satisfactory user experience.

These are few steps for affinity diagram process:

1 While brainstorming record your ideas on sticky notes or cards so you can gather large amount of data or ideas.

2 If the ideas are related to the project and you think it will fit in your project, then put it on the other side so you can implement it later.

3 Discuss ideas with your team mate and make the groups and subgroups to increase the data and organize mannerly.

4 Filter your ideas to make the process faster and more organized.

Here is one of my project example of affinity diagram using Miro which is a very valuable tool for affinity diagram.
